Yes, most people can enjoy matcha tea on an empty stomach.

But, some people get nauseous when drinking matcha/green tea/black tea on an empty stomach.

Matcha does contain caffeine which is usually limited during pregnancy. One 1g serving of matcha contains around 30mg of caffeine and by comparison, a regular cup of coffee contains 70-75 mg. If you have any concerns please consult your doctor.

There is around 30mg of caffeine in a 1g serving (1/2 a level tsp) of matcha tea.

The caffeine boost you get from match is unique. We would describe it as an energy boost without the anxiety. This is thanks to high amount of L-theanine which is naturally occuring amino acid in matcha.

L-theanine is can also be found in green tea & black tea, but at lower levels.

We recommend one serving a day as this is enough to get all of the benefits from matcha tea.

But, you can have more then one serving per day.
